Today Tiger Woods will play his first round of competitive golf since his knee surgery after the US Open in June. He did win the 2008 Open but it cost him dearly. He did serious damage to his knee but his passion for the game that he has spent his entire life mastering, drove him to compete.
Although today’s tournament is part of the WGC Champion series which will progress through the fall and carries a lot of prestiege and prize money, it is not one of the majors. I understood he planned to rest until the Masters, so I hope he isn’t rushing his recovery. He has been very successful in the WGC tournaments in the past and I’m sure his passion has pushed him to play as soon as practical.
Tiger’s passion for golf has made him financially independent so he doesn’t play just for money but love of what he does. If all of us can tap into this type of passion for something we can do, we can all improve our own lives. Even those of us who are already seasoned seniors.
In fact if you already have a passion for something you know a lot about, there are a number of ways you can use it to make yourself recession proof. You can also just make a little extra if that’s all you need.

The ways the government has started repairing the economy suggest that we had better be prepared to solve our own problems. Try to find a way to do this with something you love and enjoy and it will seem much less like work.
