Culture Shock

by Charles on July 7, 2009

A couple of eventsĀ  that took place today unfortunately say a lot about our current culture.

The Michael Jackson Memorial service was impressive but where were all of these people who care so much for him now when he needed them most. The last few years he has been pretty much an exiled child molester who needed drugs to get through each day. It is a shame that with all his talent, he couldn’t get the care he so obviously and desperately needed.

Another sad event today was the swearing in of Al Franken as a Senator. When the vote total is much higher than the number of people who voted, the election has obviously been fixed. Now Minnesota has given us a real comedian for a senator. Its sad when so many feel our elections are some kind of game instead of a privilege so many good men have defended with their lives.

If we don’t care for the people in our lives when they need help or respect the freedoms and privileges our fathers have made possible, we will pay a high price before much longer.
