Glenn Beck created the restore honor rally to encourage those who love the United States as our founders created it to come to Washington and over half a million of them accepted the invitation. This huge crowd was composed of all sorts of people of different ages, races, religions and incomes.
The main things most of this group have in common is a love of the USA, freedom and God. They have a sense of honor and duty to preserve our blessings for their children whether that means military service, showing up at town hall meetings or the restore honor rally. These are decent honest people with the courage of their beliefs who want their children to enjoy the same advantages they did if not more.
They are the people who make our country what it was meant to be. They desire and deserve the right to take advantage of what opportunities our freedom offers them without government oppression. Our government should serve us not rule us.
Many of these people are veterans and they have damn well earned the constitutional rights they seek to now preserve.
The good news for us who want to restore honor to our nation is that these 500,000 who attended the event are just the tip of the iceberg of those who feel the same. The November elections are just two months away so as long as we stay motivated, we can take a major step toward restoring honor in our nation.
We owe Glenn Beck our gratitude for showing us just how many others share our passion and commitment. We can also be very proud of the group that share our values.
